Across all of the Jonix pre-schools our staff are our most valuable asset who work with the children on a daily basis.
Staff at Jonix receive intensive training in the methods that are used specifically in the Jonix classrooms.

Tutor Positions:

All staff at Jonix begin as tutors and work their way up to teacher positions if and when they become available.
We have found over the years that this model works best for us.

Job Purpose

  • To teach/tutor children with a diagnosis of Autism using Applied Behaviour Analysis methods, implementing and delivering their Individual Education Plans and accurately recording the data.
  • Assist the teacher in providing an environment for the children to ensure it is one that is caring, fun and safe.
  • Work in an environment that aims to reduce challenging behaviours and increase appropriate behaviours by following the appropriate behaviour protocols as set out by the pre-school or the behaviour support team.
  • Promote the children’s use of communication at all times.
  • Provide the children with early intervention education to enable them to reach long term goals, learn basic life skills, functional activities and independence.
  • To play and interact with the children.
  • To support the teacher in the daily running of the class.



  • Staff at Jonix must have a Third Level Degree Qualification which includes: Primary Teaching or Montessori Equivalent (St Nicholas Montessori Degree), Psychology, Social Care, Early Childcare and Education, Arts, etc.
  • Experience with children is essential.
  • Experience within the field is desirable.
