Providing a caring and
Stimulating Environment
Welcome to Jonix
Jonix Educational Services has been supporting young children with autism and additional needs since 2002. We operate early years settings across Dublin, Kildare, and Meath providing a specialised preschool setting tailored to meet the individual strengths, needs, and interests of each child.
Our early years classes are small, structured, and nurturing, creating an environment that supports learning, communication, and development. Each class has a maximum of 6 children and is supported by 4 qualified staff working directly in the room: 1 Teacher and 3 Tutors. This ensures a high level of individual attention and support throughout the day.
Jonix services are registered with and inspected by TUSLA, the Child and Family Agency, and are subject to inspection by the Department of Education. Teaching staff are registered with the Teaching Council and Garda Vetted.
Balanced Approach
Play is central to all learning in early childhood. At Jonix, we adopt a child-centred approach that promotes engagement, enjoyment, and meaningful learning experiences tailored to each child’s individual needs and interests. Children benefit from both 1:1 support and small group learning opportunities, which foster the development of communication, social
interaction, and independence. A careful balance between child-led and adult-led learning is integral to our approach. Child-led experiences allow children to explore, make choices, and develop autonomy, while adult-led interactions provide structure, guidance, and opportunities to build new skills. This balanced approach supports development and ensures that each child is both supported and appropriately challenged in their learning journey.
Management Team
Our management team includes experienced Behaviour Specialists and an Early Years Facilitator, who support staff and ensure high-quality, evidence-informed practice across all settings. We also work collaboratively with each child’s wider multidisciplinary team, including Children’s Disability Network Teams (CDNT), where services are in place, to support consistency and continuity of care.
Funding
Children attending Jonix preschools may access the Home Tuition Grant funded by the Department of Education, where appropriate. This provision typically remains in place until a suitable school placement becomes available. Families can liaise with their Special Educational Needs Organiser (SENO) regarding school placement options. You can find more
about your SENO here: SENO - NCSE
